I'm looking to validate the length of a textarea using a regular expression validator. I'm also concerned about crlfs counting as 1 or 2 characters, I'm concerned it may be different across browsers but I'm hoping ASP. Also, I'm saving to a mix of varchar and nvarchar fields in MSSQL, do I need to be concerned about the way crlfs are saved there?

function Get Max Length(target Field) // // Limit the text input in the specified field.

// function Limit Input(target Field, source Event) // // Limit the text input in the specified field.

Is there a way of preventing more than a certain number of characters being entered into a multi line text box in aspx? The difference between what I was looking for and the validator is that, a validator is retro active. We add custom javascripts and a property to pass max Length on client side.

Here is what I need, on our asp pages for ad submission we have a Year, Make and Model text boxes named str Year, str Make and str Model. Open Navigator&45A5696524D222C387256AFB0013D850 It will automaticly delete all instances of Year, Make and Model from you textarea. The problem is it is entered as text str Ad Price but gets converted to currency with .00 appended to the end of the price on the next submit page so if someone rework their ad it shows up in the price field as 1500.00 but in the Ad Text field it is entered as 1500. Learn how to calculate your overhead burden using our free interactive tool and use it to determine the right price for your IT services. It also doesn't strip out the white spaces, for example: 2000 Honda Accord white with power steering, power brakes, air conditioning and AM/FM stereo.

What I need is a javascript that will check to make sure that the Year, Make or Model is not entered into the Ad Text since they are prepended to the ad text upon ad submission. Those ads will still reject, I want to drop the .00 for the value of the field and still strip out of the ad text and value that matches the price before the decimal point. becomes white with power steering, power brakes, air conditioning and AM/FM stereo. Like take away one white space for every duplication it finds?

dc ue, ".00", "") For the white space part you can use this function I found here:

Both of these attributes are available in EF 6 & EF Core.
