The main house is fresh and light and well furnished. The garden is wonderful, with more than enough space for all sorts of games and exploring. the metal framed bed in one of the double bedrooms was a bit uncomfy. It would be good if another of the double beds split into two twins - to save 2 children having to share a bed. Some plastic crockery for use outside or by small children would be useful. We have just spent a long weekend at Lynwilg and found the house to be great for a party of 10 adults. It has the feel of a good quality family house and is a perfect oasis after a day in the country. There were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate all.The bedrooms on the first floor also benefit from wonderful landscapes, a fresh clean feel and plenty of bathrooms, with only the single bedroom not having an en-suite or its own bathroom. Mention must be made of Lorna, whose attention to detail was much appreciated, table set for dinner, fresh flowers in some rooms. The arrangements of bedrooms and bathrooms was great. This is a great holiday home – well priced for the quality and a pleasure to stay in. We even wondered if she had a hand in arranging the fantastic weather and the icing on the cake, - the spectacular display from the golden eagle chasing the buzzards on the hill behind the house! Loved the kitchen and all the endless fridges and freezers (important as we were three families). The very large grassy areas surrounding the house gave scope for games/chases etc for all ages!Very secluded although so easily accessible from the A9. We really appreciated the thoughtful touches from Lorna for our daughter's 18th - dining room set for a party, wee present and card for her and a bottle of Kinrara gin for us all. House is more than big enough for a group of 11 and the teenagers loved the pool room!
Aviemore is a 5 minute drive away as well, and the drive to the house is accessed directly from the A9 so is easy to find.Very clean and homely with loads of room for everyone. This accommodation was great for large groups, the house was so spacious even the outside was great for relaxing and enjoying the fresh air.Garden was massive which everyone enjoyed over the weekend. Was close to main area of Aviemore and within easy reach of surrounding tourist areas. Lynwilg House was a fantastic venue for our 3 generation family holiday - 6 adults, 5 children and 2 dogs! Not to mention the super garden which was great for the children to play in and the adults to ear outside. We were a party of three generations and had a wonderful holiday thanks to the spacious house and particularly sleeping accommodation - so many toilets meant there were no queues!
